Who we are

Good Place Comms was set up in 2022 to help further the field of public interest communication. We work with academics and non-profits around the world to build curriculums and data-drive strategies to better support public interest communicators everywhere.

Our founder, Kate Davies, is a social change and political advocacy strategist with a background in research methods and statistics. She started her career studying elections at YouGov before leading communication insight and evaluation in non-profit settings. She spent eight years working in the Middle East, primarily in conflict affected states, and six years at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, covering sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.

Good Place Comms has designed and delivered impactful behaviour change campaigns in a range of sectors, including peacebuilding, public health and climate change mitigation. In Europe and North America, we have led campaigns to advocate for development policy and finance outcomes, including salience building, fundraising and mobilisation of Official Development Assistance (ODA). We have also managed risk and reputation for non-profit brands.

As an organisation, it is our mission to make the insights, tools and resources used by wealthy funders more accessible, to help guide non-profit communicators to better inform and position their work. We regularly feature at conferences and symposia designed to support the uptake of research and insights within communication efforts and to underscore the importance of strategic communication in achieving public interest outcomes.
